    4. Google Chromecast

You’ve probably heard of it, or if not, well now you did. Google Chromecast plugs into your TV’s HDMI port and then the magic happens. Now you can stream anything from your smartphone, tablet, laptop or desktop PC to your TV. This one tiny thumb-like device plugged in the back of your TV essentially turns it into a smart TV that’s connected to everything.

Say you want to watch a YouTube video from your smartphone, but really wish for a bigger screen, and you happen to be in your living room. Chromecast makes it a no-brainer. And it’s cheap; only $35. With something like this available, I’m not sure I’ll ever need a dedicated smart TV or a streaming hub like Roku 3 (another fairly tiny device).

In the Bullet “you get something like a 1000 megawatts of broadcast power” – yeah right,as long as you have a nuclear power station in your bedroom.
