Adobe Reader for Mac
Adobe Reader is a software that Adobe provides that allows users to open and print PDF documents. Without Adobe Reader, users can still open PDF documents in many web browsers such as Google Chrome, which have PDF readers built into them. However, in order to read PDF documents offline or transfer them to a USB drive, users should have a copy of Adobe Reader handy. In addition to its ability to read and print PDF documents, Adobe Reader also features tools that allow the user to zoom in and out on pages, highlight text, and jump to specific pages or chapters.
Adobe Reader For Mac
Adobe Reader For Mac is essentially the same software as the Windows version, but has a slightly different user interface and is designed to integrate itself in the Mac OS X Operating System. Adobe Reader For Mac can be downloaded here by clicking the first clickable link under “Updates/Programs,” which reads “Adobe Reader 10.1.2 full installer – English.”
Advantages/Disadvantages
Adobe Reader For Mac is advantageous to Mac users because it allows them to download, read, and print PDF documents without having to hunt down an alternative PDF reader. Although alternative PDF readers for the Mac Operating System exist, Adobe created the PDF format, so an Adobe PDF reader would make the most sense, especially when considering that it is free to download.
