From the Internet access to email to just making phone calls, few devices can provide the power of the 8310.

A good place to start is with the talk time on most handhelds. If you are lucky, you will have some amount over three hours. The 8310 will provide a full four hours of active talk time, which is just about unheard of in the industry. Along with the longer talk time, there is also an ample amount of standby time as well. While it is not unusual for a wireless phone to be able to manage anywhere from seven to ten days of standby, the 8310 will provide you with a whopping seventeen days.

The GPS feature is fantastic, with some amount of support for location based searches and lookups. Just about all the functionality of the GPS offered on the 8300 model is found with the 8310, just a little more thrown in for good measure. For anyone who has to venture into unfamiliar territory on a regular basis, this can save a lot of time and effort.

There is plenty of fun to be had with the 8310 as well. The camera is excellent, the music player has a nice capacity for storage, and there is the stereo Bluetooth that all BlackBerry users have come to expect. The device usually comes with plenty of third party software that is useful also, such as Opera Mini and Google Maps. While this model sticks with a QWERTY keyboard, this probably won't be an issue to anyone who has not already gotten use to a Suretype keyboard.
