Seagate introduces the 1.5TB HD for notebooks and desktops. The desktop-class hard drive iscalled the Barracuda 7200.11. The specs show that the 3.5-inch drive is made up of four 375GB platters and has a 7,200-rpm rotational speed. It has a 3Gb/second SATA interface, or 1.5Gb/second using Native Command Queuing (NCQ). Apparently the new 1.5TB drive supports a sustained data rate of up to 120MB/second. Many of the existing drives in the 7200.11 series have both 16MB and 32MB cache versions, the 1.5TB will likely only be available with a 32MB cache.

Now this is something that spells out “multi tasking!”. Hong Kong-based Earth Trek introduced the above shown gadget. Available in five colors: Blue, Green, Pink, Orange, and Black.
Lenovo’s IdeaCentre K210 uses face recognition for password. It also adjusts the brightness of the screen according to the distance from the screen using BrightVision technology. It includes a Intel Core 2 Quad processor with an option to upgrade to ATI’s Radeon 2600 XT GPU. VeriFace technology uses a webcam for face recognition. Lenovo has included a “chassis open” button that removes the screws to pop open the case easily without any hassle. Lenovo’s IdeaCentre K210 retails at $379.99 with additional peripherals being extra.

The MCE 6x Blu-ray burner is ready for both PowerMac and Mac Pro. It is mainly record-able with Mac OS X 10.5.2. This device can also be used to burn BD-R media up to 6x, DVD ± R media at around 16X, CD-R media at up to 40X, and does read HD DVD-ROM media as well. MCE 6x Blu-ray burner is for sale at $499, and with an external FireWire/USB 2.0 option, it will cost you $750.

Unfortunately, I did not have the funding to get a bluetooth device on my laptop. But the thing is, at that time it was an additional device that would cost extra. But these days the bluetooth is a default device on the laptop.
Lucky for us, companies like Com One is here for those who missed the Bluetooth parade. This adapter can be plugged in and can be used to connect to other bluetooth devices like mobile phones. This comes with a CD with a compulsary software for the Com One Bluetooth Adapter.

Targus presents us with the new model, AEM0702AP. So far, its easily available in Korea, I don’t know about the other places. These speakers are powered with AAA batteries. No word on pricing so far.
Dell’s been my favorite in terms of design and performance. They’ve brought out the new Studio Range.
The design is cool and its one of the thinnest they’ve brought out. Due to the wedge shape and hinge mechanism, the screen appears lower than usual. It also uses a cool back-lit keyboard for night browsing. Now that looks good!

Pico – small. They sure live up to their name. It just measures 31.3mm x 12.4mm x 3.4mm and comes inside a polished chrome finish, and being shock and water resistant.
