 According to FOX News,
for Apple followers it's a matter of faith. The article talks
about Apple as a religion, even going as far as suggesting, albeit
probably tongue in cheek, that they register as a religion, for tax
benefits.
I think the article borders on just being plain silly, but it does
build on a particular popular perception of Apple and Apple fans as
mindlessly...

As reported in the news yesterday, WikiLeaks.org released
thousands of secret documents pertaining to the War in Afghanistan.
This site, started in 2006, has become a nuisance for the U.S.
government and has grown to become a place where anyone can see
these secret documents. Once posted, there is little that can be
done to stop the documents from being spread around.
Many might cry that this is a disaster for our national security
and, more importantly, that it is unpatriotic...

Most people who use their Facebook for more than just the random
“who is online” feature know what Zynga is. And, while you might
not know who the company is, you definitely know what properties
they own. Chances are, you’ve been harassed with the, “sign up for
FarmVille” or the “Jacob just saved a little duck on his farm!”
That’s right. Zynga is the creator of properties such as FarmVille
and Mafia Wars. And for many people, they are...

According to some religious myths it is the "word of god" that
created "the heaven and the earth". Ironically, there may be some
truth to the idea that "words" have so much power.
There is a source code to the universe. Science is the process we
use to reverse engineer it. Every new piece of the source code of
the universe that we discover gives us that much more power over
the universe. We can modify the source code to suit our needs
and...

Yahoo! acquired AssociatedContent.com for $90-100 million two
months ago. The acquisition allowed Yahoo! the opportunity to gain
a significantly larger foothold on the web with a boost in 10% of
the overall pages shown on the web. However, this purchase does
pose a question: was it a good move for Yahoo! to purchase the
site?
It
all really depends. A recent NY Times article suggests that the
acquisition...

As recently reported by Scientific American (according to
OpEdNews) Pentagon's rapidly improving ability to fight wars
with robots is "bringing about the most profound transformation of
warfare since the advent of an atom bomb" and that "robots are
pouring onto battlefields as if a new species of mechanotronic
alien had just landed on our planet".

Thousands of unsatisfied customers complained and demanded, that
Apple admit to their iPhone 4 antenna problems in the last few
weeks. During the initial stages of production of the iPhone 4,
designers pointed out the troubles that might arise because of the
antenna, rumors are that Steve Jobs was oblivious to their
concerns. The manufacturers were well aware of the defects and did
not think it necessary to reveal it to the buyers. The reaction
from Apple is certainly worth mentioning...

In a recent
post here, I discussed whether Verizon really needed the iPhone
because it now had Google and the Android on its side. Once again,
it appears that Apple might have some bad news when it comes to the
iPhone, only this time, it has to do with China instead of
Verizon.

For years, people have talked about how if Verizon
got the iPhone, they would leave AT&T and sign with Verizon.
But, because the iPhone was with AT&T, Verizon could not get
their business. With the incredible success of the Android run
phones, it has been suggested by many that perhaps Verizon doesn’t
even need the iPhone anymore.

Every year marketing terms like "power at your finger tips" get
a whole new meaning. A vivid illustration of just how powerful
modern smartphones really are, is the
comparison which finds an iPhone 4 from 2010 equally or more
powerful than an iMac from ten years ago. This is probably why
smartphones are recently being referred to as
"superphones",
There was a...
