How do I Disable Windows Messenger?
Microsoft automatically installs Windows Messenger and also makes it very difficult to uninstall.
Steps to Disable Windows Messenger
- Click the <Start> button
- Click <Run>
- Enter the command "services.msc"
- Click the <OK> button
- Find Messenger in the services list and double-click on it
- Change the Startup type to Disabled
- Click the <Stop> button
- Click the <OK> button
Uninstall Windows Messenger
Alternatively, instead of disabling Windows Messenger, you can also uninstall Windows Messenger.
