What is a Dish 500?

A Dish 500 a 21" x 23" satellite dish used by Dish Networks.

A Dish 500 is able to receive a signal from two satellite locations.

The Dish 500 replaced the earlier Dish 300, which was only able to receive a signal from one satellite location.

The Dish 500 has itself been replaced by newer dishes: Dish 1000, and SuperDish.

The Dish 500 is usually pointed at Dish Network satellites at 110 and 119 degrees West.
