DVD
DVD is an acronym for Digital Versatile Disc, or more commonly, Digital Video Disc. AVI is a container format that can store both sound and motion as a file with .avi extension and supports multiple streaming. AVI conforms to the Microsoft Windows Resource Interchange File Format (RIFF) specification.
Converting DVD to AVI
A DVD stores a minimum of 4.7 GB of data, which implies a very large file size. There are several tools available that can be used to rip DVD to AVI.
