A Port Replicator is a device which is used to connect portable
computers such as notebook computers or laptops to non-portable
peripherals i.e. monitor, keyboard, scanner or a printer. Instead
of connecting directly to the notebook computer, the peripherals
are connected first to the Port Replicator and the notebook
computer is then connected to the Port Replicator. This allows an
individual to connect a number of peripherals simultaneously to a
single notebook computer.

A touchpad is a computing interface device that typically mimics
the functions of a computer mouse. Instead of having an external
peripheral device such as a mouse, the touchpad enables the user to
interact with the device through the use of a single or multiple
fingers being dragged across relative positions on a sensitive
pad.
Touchpads are typically found on laptop computers but are
increasingly being utilized on devices such as portable mp3 players

How to build a custom PC ultimately depends on your overall
working experience with computer hardware and specifications; as
well as the budget you have allocated for this type of project.
Most folks who desire to build their own custom PC are either
seeking a powerful game machine, Computer-Aided Drafting (CAD)
machine, or high end multimedia production editing bay.
If this is the case, the best independent component investments
to take into strong consideration...

In the early days of computers, technicians would engage in what
is called "component level repair." Plummeting equipment costs,
explosive equipment complexity, and the rising costs of skilled
labor has led to an almost complete decline of component level
repair. Almost all computer repair is currently done by swapping
out parts.
Component Level Repair
Each part of your computer consists of many smaller components.
Your computers monitor, for example...

PCI Express stands for Peripheral Component Interconnect Express
(PCI-E). PCI Express is a new computer format for motherboards
allowing for expansion. It was introduced to phase out PCI
expansion and the AGP graphics interface card. PCI Express makes a
computer work much faster and largely improves the graphics
performance of the machine.
Traditional PCI has several limitations. It has a fixed width of
32 bps and can handle only five devices at a time. A higher bus
speed will cause...

A tablet PC is a laptop or
slate-formed mobile computer that is outfitted with a touchscreen
or screen that can be controlled with a digital pen or stylus, or
via finger touch. A tablet PC does not require a keyboard or
mouse. End-users can directly key in data on a tablet PC. It also
offers greater mobility than a conventional laptop.
Types of Tablet PCs
There are different types of table PCs available in the market
today, based...

A computer cluster refers to a group or collection of computers
- connected by a local area network (LAN) - that are working
extremely well together that one can think of them as being a
single computer. Computer clusters were created to improve
performance. An office network can be considered a cluster since
multiple computers and users are tied in to a server to exchange
information or data in order to perform their assigned tasks or
roles and to ensure availability of service by having...

The Secure Digital Input/Output card standard expands upon the
original Secure Digital card standard, extending the functionality
of many devices with SD card slots.
The Secure Digital Input/Output card standard is based on the
Secure Digital standard. The SD flash memory format was designed
purely for portable storage; many cell phones, cameras, GPS
receivers and other portable devices (and even some video game
consoles) use Secure Digital flash memory for data storage
and...
