How to See Who Views One’s Facebook Page
While many applications claim that Facebook users can find out who is viewing their profile, most of these applications are simply lying and are actually trying to get the user’s Facebook password, install malicious software on the user’s computer, or send spam to the user’s Facebook friends. Facebook’s privacy regulations ban applications from actually providing the user with information about who is viewing his/her page. As a result, users are only able to piece together information to find a clue that may help them determine who is viewing their profile the most, rather than actually knowing when someone looks at their profile.
Stat Trackers
Although a stat tracker will not tell the user who is viewing his/her profile, it will tell the user how many persons are viewing his/her profile overall. Users can obtain a stat tracker by placing an HTML field on his/her profile, which can either be visible or invisible, and placing any stat tracker’s HTML code inside of it. HTML codes for a number of stat trackers can be found at StatCounter.com, Webtrends.com, and Google Analytics.
Analyzers
An analyzer is a program that is similar to a stat tracker, but provides users with much more information. An analyzer not only tells the user how many people are viewing his/her profile, but also who is leaving the most status and picture comments on his/her page. This allows these applications to build a model of the user’s active friends, which can give the user an idea of who is viewing his/her profile.
