LG AX300

The LG AX300 is intended to build on earlier successes by enhancing some features and adding a few more to the mix. With a larger display area, the AX300 is easier to read than some earlier LG models, notably the AX275. The solid quality VGA camera is still present, along with the presence of BREW and a solid quality speakerphone.

Some really great features include the voice dialing capability, which comes in handy for many people today. Unlike some units that offer a vibration setting that can be activated in meetings, movies and restaurants, this one actually does vibrate strongly enough to grab the attention of the user. The ability to customize ringtones also can add a dash of fun to the device and make the user of an AX300 feel more in control of his or her destiny.

The LG AX300 supports Bluetooth 2.0 connectivity. The side keys that help to adjust the volume and initiate the camera are placed perfectly for use by most people. The alarm has five potential settings, which means you can set up a series and possibly have a longer snooze before you have to get out of bed.

Of course, there are a couple of drawbacks. The talk time on the AX300 is a disappointing 3.3 hours. The standby time is not anything to write home about either - it is only 180 hours. This may discourage business users somewhat; although anyone who needs a good quality unit for home use will probably find these limitations to not be issues.

Overall

The LG AX300 is not a bad phone by any means. In fact, for what it does, it is a pretty good option. All in all, the AX300 will probably find a niche with college students and persons who want a reliable phone, but don't care about a lot of features. But if you are looking for something really snazzy, keep looking.
