LG Invision
The LG Invision is a multimedia phone from AT&T offering Mobile TV capabilities. It is the smallest multimedia phone in the AT&T line-up and features a “candy bar” design. One of the Invision's strongest selling points is its competitive pricing when compared with similar Mobile TV capable phones.
Phone Dimensions
Small and light for a phone offering Mobile TV, the LG Invision measures 4 x 2 x 0.5 inches and weighs in at 81 grams.
Display Screen Size
Somewhat small at 2.2 inches, the Invision's display screen features “landscape” orientation, which is more compatible with television broadcast format than standard mobile phone “portrait” orientation. Device display screen is TFT and features 262K colors. Resolution is crisp at 320 x 240 pixels.
Media Features
A true multimedia phone, the LG Invision supports Mobile TV as well as XM Radio Mobile and features an MP3 player. AT&T Mobile TV and AT&T Video are available as streaming multimedia, and users can access the Mobile TV service via a dedicated TV button located on the face of the device.
Camera Options
A 1.3 MP built-in camera is included, providing 1280 x 960 pixels of resolution. Users will be able to capture and share video and make use of the device's unique landscape display screen orientation. The Invision's camera features a 2x digital zoom.
Connectivity Capabilities
The LG Invision supports EMS, MMS, and SMS messaging as well as POP3, IMAP4, and SMTP email clients (WAP 2.0 browser included). Supported online chat options include AOL, Windows Live, and Yahoo.
Bluetooth connectivity (A2DP / AVRC / DUN / FTP / HFP / HSP / OPP) is included and AT&T Navigator GPS option is supported. Users can sync the device to a PC via USB 2.0 (miniUSB).
Pre-Loaded Software
The LG Invision features 128 MB of internal memory, but supports expandable memory with microSD (TransFlash). The device comes pre-loaded with J2ME games as well as screensaver, ringtone, and wallpaper options.
Productivity software available on the Invision include T9 (predictive text), 500 number storage capacity phone book, calendar, to-do-list, voice commands, and a calculator.
Battery Specifications
The device's included 900 mAH Lithium-Ion battery provides up to 3 hours of talk time and 10 days, 10 hours of standby battery life on a single charge.
