LG Swift
The LG Swift is a mid-range CDMA clamshell phone, key features of which include a QVGA 262K color display, stereo Bluetooth, Organizer, 1.3MP camera and a speakerphone.
This cell phone features a new technology that has 6 raised keys on the keypad that allow the user to implement many applications at the push of a button. These include Navigation, Shopping, Email, Alarm Clock, and Image Library.
Since this phone is exclusive to Alltel, the buttons are all related to the Alltel brand and service.
Pros
- The LG Swift has excellent graphics.
- The hot keys, known as ‘FasTap’ keys make for a killer feature, offering users instant access to several functions.
- The phone is 3G capable.
- It is fairly inexpensive, ranging at around $50.
Cons
- The LG Swift is currently only available to Alltel customers, and currently only comes in two colors: red or blue.
- The built in digital camera’s megapixels are quite low (1.3 MP), so don’t expect super high-resolution photographs.
- It’s a nice phone but it has a small screen (only 240 x 320 pixels) and is really designed to provide the cell phone user’s most basic needs.
- The talk-time and standby time are not very impressive, at 3.33 hours (200 minutes) and 150 hours (6 days) respectively.
Overall
This phone has its perks, like stereo Bluetooth capability, speakerphone, and a slot for an SD memory card. In addition, the camera has a video feature.
It’s small and fits well with those who want a simple phone that can do basic functions without a whole lot of excess bells and whistles. The easy FasTap buttons feature gives users fast access to the things they use the most, so it’s a good choice for people who use their cell phone to connect to the web or access email.
