What is a MySpace Friend Adder?
A MySpace Friend Adder (also referred to as an "adder bot") is a program that harvests MySpace friend-adds, based on the specific search criteria you set [i.e. age, zip code, etc.).
They are very similar to a bulk e-mail harvester, and though these MySpace Friend Adder programs can grow your subscriber base very quickly; it is important that you use them with due discretion.
As with virtually all good things on the Web, spammers have abused this powerful tool, to the extent that MySpace closes thousands of accounts every day, without notice.
The two main keys to successfully using a MySpace Friend Adder (and not getting your account closed):
- Cap your adds to no more than 50 adds per day per account;
- Never use your primary MySpace account in conjunction with an adder bot.
It is better to add 50 friends a day per account and use several accounts than to get noticed by MySpace. And it is wise to harvest a maxmum of 25, wait awhile; then do your next 25.
Also, trying to sell anything to new invites is what gets people banned faster than lightning -- as opposed to luring potential new MySpace friends in with relevant quality answers and info that actually inspires MySpacers to want to know more on what you do or offer.
