MySpace Proxy

Almost every anonymous proxy on the Internet runs either PHProxy or CGIProxy.

You cannot access MySpace anonymously using a PHProxy. PHProxy removes all traces of anonymity whilst having Client-Side Scripting enabled.

CGIProxy has Client-Side Scripting Enabled and still offers full anonymity.

You can still use PHProxy to access MySpace, but you will not be anonymous.

Why CGIProxy?

CGIProxy offers full anonymity, no matter what it is that you do with it (unless the code has been edited to use PHP/MySQL queries); a PHProxy only offers full anonymity when the default options are selected. The reason why is because of cgi is a Client-Side script and handles other scripts well but PHP is not; PHP is a script used to transmit MySQL queries and to manage MySQL databases (or for simple operations, i.e. require).

Why is a CGIProxy referred to as a MySpace Proxy?

Often, they aren’t! A CGIProxy will only ever be referred to as a MySpace Proxy if they would like you to use their proxy for anonymously surfing on MySpace at school / work to hack through their filters.

NOTE: If a CGIProxy is not called a MySpace Proxy, it does not mean you cannot use it to access MySpace; it just means that they were looking for their proxy to be used for multiple uses. The same applies if you see a so called “MySpace Proxy,” it can still be used to surf other sites.
