The Palm Treo Pro is a smartphone with a modern, sophisticated look. It is the thinnest Treo smartphone of the bunch and has plenty of innovative features. The Treo Pro is well built and has a glossy hard plastic casing. It is a smooth and professional phone that looks very alluring in black.
The Palm Treo Pro contains a 400MHZ Qualcomm MSM7201 application processor, with the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional . There is 256MB of built-in memory, out of which 100MB is available to the user. The phone radio of the Treo Pro is a Quad-Band GSM unit and it also has a tri-band 3G HSDPA/UMTS wireless data support.
The Palm Treo Pro contains a GPS receiver, an IR port, Bluetooth 2.0 and built in 802.11 b/g Wi-Fi. The Palm Treo Pro uses a replaceable Li-Ion Poly which is 1500 mAh, which is good for approximately a five-hour talk time and up to an estimated 250 hours of standby.
Pros
The Treo Pro has some very good points worth noting:

- 320 x 320 pixel transflective color TFT flush touchscreen
- High speed data options (the tri-band 3G radio can connect to HSDPA, EDGE, GPRS and UMTS networks)
- 2.0 megapixel digital camera (with 8x digital zoom)
- GPS (Global Positioning System) is very beneficial
Cons
With the good also comes the bad:
- Built-in storage space is less and disappointing
- 400 MHz clock speed is relatively slower than its counterparts
- The screen washes out somewhat in direct sunlight
- Web browser (Microsoft's Pocket Internet Explorer) tends to be relatively slow
- Pricey due to the fact that it is brand new for 2008
Overall
If you are in the market for a new smartphone, then the Palm Treo Pro is worth a try. It is functional, solid, sassy and a fairly good choice for today's professionals.
