Pegasus Satellite Television was an independent distributor of DirecTV, which was focused mainly on rural markets.

Pegasus Satellite Television was a division of Pegasus Communications, which also owns and operated a group of local television stations.

In 2004, DirecTV purchased the assets of Pegasus Satellite Television.
