Configure a Web Proxy in Internet Explorer

  1. Select a proxy from one of our recommended anonymous proxy lists.
  2. Note the IP address and the port number of that proxy server.
  3. Open Internet Explorer.
  4. Open the <Tools> menu.
  5. Select <Internet Options>.
  6. Click on the <Connections> tab.
  7. Click on the <LAN Settings> button.
  8. Check the box next to "Use a proxy server for your LAN".
  9. Enter the IP address of the proxy you selected in Step 1 into the "Address:" box.
  10. Enter the port number of the proxy you selected in Step 1 into the "Port:" box.
  11. Click the <OK> button.
  12. Click the <OK> button.

Configure a Web Proxy in Mozilla Firefox

  1. Select a proxy from one of our recommended anonymous proxy lists.
  2. Note the IP address and the port number of that proxy server.
  3. Open Firefox.
  4. Open the <Tools> menu.
  5. Select <Options>.
  6. Click the <Connection Settings> button.
  7. Check <Manual Proxy Configuration>.
  8. Enter the IP address of the proxy you selected in Step 1 into the "HTTP Proxy:" box.
  9. Enter the port number of the proxy you selected in Step 1 into the corresponding "Port:" box.
  10. Enter the IP address of the proxy you selected in Step 1 into the "SSL Proxy:" box.
  11. Enter the port number of the proxy you selected in Step 1 into the corresponding "Port:" box.
  12. Click the <OK> button.
  13. Click the <OK> button.
