How do I remove CasinoOnNet?
CasinoOnNet is a piece of malware which functions both as adware and spyware.
Kill CasinoOnNet Processes
The first step in removing CasinoOnNet is to kill the CasinOnNet processes using Windows Task Manager.
- Press the <CTRL>, <ALT> and <DELETE> keys simultaneously to start the Windows Task Manager.
- Click on the <Processes> tab.
- Find each of the following processes in the list.
- dlhelperexe.exe
- casino.exe
- downloadinstaller.exe
- casinoonnet.exe
- Highlight each process and press the <End Process> button.
Unregister the CasinoOnNet DLL's
Use the REGSVR32 command to unregister the CasinoOnNet DLL's.
- Click the <Start> button
- Click the <Run> button
- In the data entry box that pops up, type CMD
- Click the <OKgt; button
- In the Command Shell that opens, enter the following commands:
- regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\casinoonnet\bszip.dll"
- regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\casinoonnet\shared_.dll"
- regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\casinoonnet\utils\mmi.dll"
- regsvr32 /u "C:\Program Files\casinoonnet\utils\sounddrv.dll
Remove CasinoOnNet Files
After you have stopped the CasinoOnNet processes and unregistered the CasinoOnNet DLL's, you will want to delete the CasinoOnNet files from your PC.
To do this, delete this directory:
- %ProgramFiles%\casinoonnet\
