Therefore, the cost of entrance is very low. It's cheap to start using this CRM. Another advantage is that, since you are not managing it, the program is up and ready faster and can be used sooner. This means more profits. Finally, the infrastructure security and power put behind the SaaS CRM by the vendors is unrivaled. So, you are getting a very strong product.

Disadvantages of SaaS CRM

To begin with, you're renting it. While it is cheap to get in and use it at first, you will perpetually pay for the CRM. If you decide to stop paying, you lose your CRM. If you went with a more traditional package, you'd buy it, but not pay a monthly, quarterly or yearly fee. Sometimes, SaaS CRM can't get very industry specific. If you had a specialist working for the company and a traditional CRM, you would be able to specialize the CRM. Unless you have clear objectives, SaaS will be a waste of money too. It's not magic. Without objectives, it'll simply drain resources from the company.

Choosing which to go with, though, is entirely up to the company. For the most part, if the company has the funds to handle a traditional CRM package, they will. Otherwise, they can choose to go with a SaaS CRM and switch over at a later point.
