Where is Scan Disk in Win XP?
Scan Disk has been removed from Windows 2000 and Win XP. The functionality previously found in Scan Disk has been built into Explorer.
How to Scan Disk in Win XP
- Press the <Start> button.
- Select <My Computer>.
- Under Hard Disk Drives highlight the disk which you want to scan.
- Open the <File> menu and choose <Properties>
- Open the <Tools> tab.
- Click the <Check Now...> button.
