I have a fairly straightforward question:

We are ranking highly in the SERPs (almost always on page 1 and usually #1, at the very top, in terms where 1 million to 1 billion-plus search results are displayed) for at least 300 to 400 of our pages, and yet we don’t get any hits from these Google SERPs and our traffic remains dismal.

    What are we missing?

I’ll take any answers or any clues from anyone…

    Thanks in advance!

Maybe the sad truth is Google is no longer driving traffic. You are sitting there on its pages that just aren’t being visited. So it is like a joke, a bad one, that google isn’t letting you in on. Maybe also, due to this stupid local search thing, when you visit your pages that are listed, you see them, but the rest of the world outside of your area, don’t get those pages delivered to them. In the end, it’s pretty much the same thing: google just isn’t driving traffic to you; it is a parking lot now, instead of an active traffic driver.
