The Sharp Sidekick LX Tony Hawk Edition sports an updated display as well as an overall lighter design in reference to its predecessor, the SK3. Some important key features include a 1.3 megapixel camera, a 3.5mm headset jack, an expandable memory card slot and a full QWERTY keyboard. The Tony Hawk edition, of course, sports a skateboard theme, with Tony Hawk’s name encrusted on the top right of the main display.
Some upgrades that the Tony Hawk Edition will bring to Sharp Sidekick enthusiasts are video recording, Bluetooth file transferring and stereo Bluetooth functionality. Other noticeable differences will be skater sounds, skater images, and skater videos included on the phone. The bottom of the phone is also made to look like and feel like the top of a skateboard, including a texture like grip-tape and eight simulated screws! This makes it one of the most unique phones on the market today.
The Sharp Sidekick LX Tony Hawk Edition is a swivel phone in design and works off of the EDGE data network. It has an internal antenna and measures 5.12 by 2.36 by .7 inches. It weighs in at a somewhat hefty 5.7 oz. The lithium ion battery provides for up to 6.8 hours of talk time and 96 hours in standby. The display supports 65,536 colors and has a resolution of 400 by 200 pixels. The phone supports music formats of MP3, AAC, and WMA.
