Sony Ericsson w850i

Sony Ericsson w850i

The Sony Ericsson w850i is an awesome walkman phone; while it delivers on style, features and functionality, it can be hard to navigate and control.

There are plenty of features on the w850i including an MP3 player and a 2 mega pixel camera. Also built into this slider phone are a FM radio, Bluetooth capability, speakerphone and video capture.

If you are looking for an integrated device that houses your phone, mega pixel camera and MP3 player, this device definitely delivers. It has some on board memory, but for people with large music collections, you will ultimately need to purchase Sony's memory sticks.

The interface of the phone is easy to use, but the navigational buttons on the front of the slider phone can be difficult to work with. There are four small buttons that you can use to navigate the menu's, you need nails to press these buttons and going through the menu structure can be difficult at times with the button controls. In addition, there is also a rather large button to access the MP3 player. Unfortunately, even thought it is a large button, it is very thin and hard to use.

The styling of the phone is very nice and you can immediately tell it is a Sony. The phone is black with a few well lit buttons and the sliding mechanism works very well. On the back side of the phone is the large mega pixel camera's lens, a LED flash and a small mirror for making self portraits. When taking pictures, you can hold the phone just like a digital camera and just point and shoot. The display screen was also high quality and can be seen in bright light situations.
