UTStarcom Phones

UTStarcom is a maker of stylish, entry level phones with a few higher priced models available. While the company is listed within the Fortune 1000, it has a far smaller market share than Nokia, Motorola and Samsung. UTStarcom is well known for their IP based networking products.

UTStarcom has several mobile phones available which are mostly clamshell/flip phones. UTStarcom has created a few of the most rugged mobile phones in the industry including a phone that can be submerged underwater and rubberized clamshell phones that can survive drops.

UTStarcom has acquired Audiovox, which is also a smaller player in the mobile phone market. UTStarcom creates phones that are branded by Verizon, and Virgin, among other brands. UTStarcom also includes a few PDA style phones, however most phones are directed at the entry level. While prices are affordable, quality and reliability are usually very good.
