8. Mention Their Name
Once in a while, find a reason to casually mention their name in one of your updates. This is similar to a reply, but does not have to follow with an actual conversation or a tweet. Whether it’s a part of a recommendation on #FollowFriday or a reference to something they have said, it is going to get placed in their mentions tab. Use the proper formatting or the mention will unfortunately go unnoticed. If you have been lucky enough to receive a mutual follow already, mentions from you will show up on their actual timeline.
