8. Avoid Animations
Animating the transition between different screens and apps on an Android device was implemented as a design feature by the developers of the Operating System (OS). Unfortunately, the use of animations can deliver a performance hit on a device when enabled. When looking to further improve the overall performance of an Android, view the current animation settings under the device “Settings” and “Developer Options” menu choices. Choose the “Window Animation Scale” menu choice to see what the current setting is for the phone or tablet. Toggle the setting to off to eliminate the animation effects on the device to see a slight performance gain.
