How do I install Active-X?
Active-X installs by default with Internet Explorer. If you have installed Internet Exploer, you don't need to install Active-X, but you may need to configure it.
How to Configure Active-X in Internet Explorer
- Open the <Tools> menu
- Click <Internet Options>
- Click the <Security> tab
- The Internet zone will be selected by default
- Choose one of the following paths:
- Use your mouse to move the slider bar up and down to change your security level
- Click <Custom Level> and select each security setting individually
- Click <OK>
Install Active-X for Firefox
Firefox does not support Active-X controls.
It is extremely unlikely that Firefox will ever support Active-X controls.
You can download a third-party Mozilla Active-X Plug-in which is designed to support Active-X for custom, legacy and intranet solutions.
This plug-in also supports Mozilla and Netscape.
