Free PDF Editors
PDF (Portable Document Format) is a document format created by Adobe systems. The file extension for these is .pdf, and they act as a virtual booklet, for easy navigation and reading. The great advantage of these are that they compile a lot of information into just the one file, such as a book (commonly referred to as an e-book), and they can be made quickly and easily, thanks to the readily available programs out there.
The default program for reading these PDF files is Adobe Reader. However, there is one problem with this program, and that is that it doesn't allow you to edit the PDFs themselves. So if editing them is going to become possible, other programs are going to be needed. However, most of the software that you search for has a price. You can find some of the most popular and favourite editors on this list, along with a brief description of each.
Free PDF Editor Trials
The following programs that are listed below can be found and downloaded from the Internet as free trials. There are a lot of editors of this nature, and so only the very best are listed.
Foxit PDF Editor
This is Foxit's latest PDF manipulator. It houses several features such as text editing, text formatting, picture implementation, hyperlink insertion, and basically, all the features you'd expect to find within a text editor, although it isn't quite a text editor.
VeryPDF
Allows for viewing, editing, manipulating and printing PDF files. VeryPDF can edit PDF files easily, and allows annotations, comments, add text, change text or delete words completely, one of the most popular ones out there.
As you can see, there are several options out there for PDF file conversions, or general editing, the ones listed inside this article are, from my experience, the best ones known. All of these also boast an active, and helpful userbase, so should you ever get stuck with using a program, then that's your best bet.
Bluebeam PDF
This is arguably the most strongest and powerful PDF editor out-there. Although the retail price is a bit high, you can get a fully working free trial of it for 30 days, to evaluate it. Not only can it edit PDFs with the highest quality and accuracy, but it can also convert such files as .docs, or .txts into your .pdfs, and then they can be edited from inside Bluebeam
MicroAdobe PDF Editor
This is one of the more professional PDF editors out there, as it has been compared to Microsoft Word for its ease of use, and the amount of features it contains. These include; hyperlink insertion, picture removal/adding, font editing, and background changing features. Definitely worth a try.
