What is S band?
S band is a frequency range from approximately 1.55 to 5.2GHz which is used for Digital Audio Radio Satellite (DARS) satellite radio systems such as Sirius Satellite Radio and XM Satellite Radio.
S band is also used by some weather and communications satellites.
