   My elderly mother lives in a retirement community.  Although the television services available in this community are limited, DirecTV may be an option.  I am faced with a steep learning curve regarding such matters, but I would like to know if any of the DirecTV HDTV receivers interfaces with a PC in such a way that I could control the receiver through said PC.  (My goal would be able to remotely control that PC, then, via the internet.  So, when my mother calls me or my siblings, unable to find anything on television, any of us could remotely operate my mother’s PC, and thus, remotely operate my mother’s television.)
