9. Romo
When it comes to smartphone companions here’s one that will turn your smartphone into a very fun and even useful.. robot! A tiny robot! A robot that your kids will love, and probably you as well. Attach your iPhone to it and you give it life, as it uses your iPhone’s processing power and the Romo app to get smart and start rolling around. It can follow your face, and it can follow objects you throw around. It can play games with you, and it can serve as a remote camera. And it is programmable so you can come up with your own uses for it.
And it does all of this with those adorable facial expressions, and a cute voice.
Romo is, quite simply, the cheapest way you can have your own robot if you already have an iPhone (Android phones aren’t supported yet), and it is indeed quite tiny compared to most bots, and considering its potential usefulness.
