    When people think of a nerd, they tend to picture someone who hasn’t quite grasped typical social skills. Due to the fact that many tend to try to escape everyday life, they are seen as individuals who don’t necessarily know how to act in large groups, specifically due to the fact that it is extremely common for nerds to be quite introverted. Geeks, on the other hand, are commonly viewed as people accepting the technology and culture they live in, sometimes to the extreme. Despite both nerds and geeks having quite strong interests in what they enjoy, geeks seem to be more commonly accepted and looked up to in today’s society.
