    Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+

    3. Alcatel OneTouch Idol X+

Remember Alcatel? They’re in the smartphone game as well! And their OneTouch Idol X+ can stand toe to toe with the classy yet affordable group we’re flirting with here. Great design and superpowers are offered in form of an octa core (8 core!) 2 Ghz CPU, 5 inch Full HD IPS display with Gorilla Glass, 16 GB of internal storage, and 2GB of memory. It also comes with a 13 megapixel back camera, and 2 megapixel front camera, and many of the other superphone standard features with a highlight of Hi-Fi-like sound and included JBL “premium” earphones, and Wi-Fi display ability.

Idol X+ comes with Android 4.3, and an upgrade utility for your PC. The price should be in the ballpark of $500, selling in the UK for 130 pounds including VAT.

The cheapest phone on here is 333 EURO, that’s not cheaper, that’s ballpark for most smartphones

I just got the OnePlus One. The Silk White version only has 16 GB of memory. The Sandstone Black version has 64 GB. That is the reason for the price difference. It is a beautiful (but large) phone. It is very nearly the same size as my Galaxy Note 3 (slightly narrower, but slightly taller). The CM software is a winner! The performance is great and smooth. It doesn’t have all of the redundant garbage software that Samsung puts on their phones. I think it is a winner. I just want some more invites so I can buy more of them.
