    AllView X2 Soul

    6. AllView X2 Soul

Said to be “probably the thinnest smartphone in the world”, and certainly super slim and very attractively designed, AllView X2 Soul is a yet another relatively cheap yet powerful contender. It contains an 8-core 1.7 Ghz processor, 5 inch Full HD SuperAMOLED display, 16GB of internal storage, 2GB of memory, 13 megapixel Sony IMX camera at the back with FullHD recording capability, and 5 megapixel front camera. It’s got Gorilla Glass 3 at both front and back making for a “pleasant mixture between metal and glass”. It runs Android 4.2.2.

X2 Soul also offers some extra features like the ability to wake it up by double tapping, or a gesture to access a custom apps menu and last calls, and even a funky “fake call” feature, which simulates an incoming call. Funny enough they say this could be useful if you want to get out of a meeting or a boring session.

AllView is a Romanian company founded in 2002, which entered a mobile phone market in 2008, and produced its first smartphone in 2011. They have a number of international partners including Cosmote, Orange, Vodafone, M-Tel, Selgros, Carrefour, Media Markt, and eMag.

The price of X2 Soul is 333€, which is a little less than $450.

The cheapest phone on here is 333 EURO, that’s not cheaper, that’s ballpark for most smartphones

I just got the OnePlus One. The Silk White version only has 16 GB of memory. The Sandstone Black version has 64 GB. That is the reason for the price difference. It is a beautiful (but large) phone. It is very nearly the same size as my Galaxy Note 3 (slightly narrower, but slightly taller). The CM software is a winner! The performance is great and smooth. It doesn’t have all of the redundant garbage software that Samsung puts on their phones. I think it is a winner. I just want some more invites so I can buy more of them.
